LUMAPET delivers LED light at five distinct wavelengths:
- Infrared light at 940 nm
- Red light at 660 nm
- Amber light at 590 nm
- Green light at 535 nm
- Blue light at 470 nm
The aforementioned wavelengths penetrate the animal's skin, moving deeper into the musculoskeletal tissue until they exert their most significant biomodulatory effect: the rebalancing and revitalization of mitochondrial function (associated with cellular metabolism), which results in increased synthesis of ATP (energy) molecules. By improving energy efficiency at the mitochondrial level, cells in energy imbalance (suffering, damaged, and not in homeostasis) of the skin, bone, and muscle tissue regain vitality and regeneration.
